Cantilevers

As a result of RC analysis, it is automatically determined if the beams will be reinforced as cantilever or not. Besides, you may wish to change the reinforcement configuration of a beam. The cantilevers command is used for this purpose.

Select a beam after the analysis.

Click Cantilever Beams from the Edit menu.

The Cantilever Edit dialog will be displayed on the screen. For left end free cantilever click left cantilever, for right end free cantilever click right cantilever.

Click OK to exit the dialog.

Select the beam again. Click Beams from the RC menu. Click RC from the appearing dialog.

If a beam which should not be cantilever appears as cantilever after RC:

Select the related beam.

Click Cantilever Beams from the Edit menu.

The cantilever edit dialog will be displayed. Check Not Cantilever here.

Click OK to close the dialog.

Select the beam again. Click Beams from the RC menu and click RC from the appearing dialog. The RC analysis of the related beam will be repeated.
