Beam Loads

The Beam Loads Command provides you watching the forces acting on the beams (wall, slab dead, slab live loads) graphically on the screen.

GIF/structural00090000.gif Click Beam Loads from the Analysis menu.

GIF/structural00090000.gif The 3D view of the beam will appear on the screen.

GIF/structural00090000.gif You may rotate the beam using the arrow keys, zoom in and out by Z and Shift+Z keys, enlarge or reduce the scale of the ruler by A and Shift+A keys, open or close the ruler by S key, rotate the beam around Z axis by R key, open or close the beam by K key.

GIF/structural00090000.gif If you press 1, 2, 3 and 4 from the numeric keyboard you can see the own loads of the beam, the wall loads on the beam, the slab loads acting on the beam from the left and right sides respectively. You can make dead or live load selection by pressing the H key.
