Deform stair

The Deform Stair command is used to deform stairs from certain points to obtain different stair types. These deformation points are located on the stair contour. When the locations of the points are changed, the geometry of the stair changes accordingly.

To deform stair:

Image/idearchitectural00090000.gif Click Modify/Entity Edit/Stair/Deform Stair.

Image/idearchitectural00090000.gif The deformation points on the stairs existing on the drawing area will be marked.

Image/idearchitectural00090000.gif Bring the mouse cursor on the point you want to move and left-click.

Image/idearchitectural00090000.gif Drag the mouse. The point clicked will move together with the mouse. The stair will deform (its geometry will change) depending on the moved point.

Image/idearchitectural00090000.gif Left-click. The point will be moved.

It is possible to fit the stairs to the necessary geometry by this way. It is recommended to determine the locations of the points to be moved before this process, by intersecting axes at the related points. You can erase these axes after completing the stair deformation process.

Stairs organized using the Deform Stair command can be saved for further usage. The Save Stair command has been developed for this purpose. Any stair on the drawing area can be added to the stair library by this command. See the “Save Stair” topic for more detailed information.
