Arc dome

The circular domes are drawn by the Dome command. The Arc Dome command has been developed for drawing domes not completing the circle i.e. semicircle, quarter circle etc. To draw arc dome:

Image/idearchitectural00090000.gif Determine the center of the dome by left-clicking on the drawing area.

Image/idearchitectural00090000.gif Drag the mouse outwards from the center. The virtual image of the dome will appear on the screen and will move depending on the mouse cursor.

Image/idearchitectural00090000.gif Press L from the keyboard to determine the radius of the dome. The cursor will enter the L cell on the co-ordinate box.

Image/idearchitectural00090000.gif Enter the dome radius value (m) here and press enter from the keyboard. The cell will turn to red being locked to the entered value. The dome image on the drawing area will also be locked to this value.

Image/idearchitectural00090000.gif Left-click on the drawing area and move the mouse cursor counter-clockwise. You will observe that the arc dome also changes shape depending on the mouse motion. You may also enter angle at this step. Press A from the keyboard. The cursor will get in the A cell on the co-ordinate box. Enter the (global) angle value (degree) and press enter from the keyboard. Move the mouse. The dome will stay at the angle you entered.
