There
is an object (beam, wall, column, axis etc.) I
formerly defined. The existing settings are different and I want to use the settings of an object I
defined previously. What should I do?
|
|
|
|
You should use the “Pick
settings from the object” command. “Pick settings
from the object”, updates the settings of the object
to be drawn with the settings of the existing object.

Can
I use the right button of the mouse as context menu or
command repeat without entering “General
settings”?
|
|
Yes, you can. If you
click the right button by holding down the Ctrl key, you provide
the operation of the inverse command. i.e. if the right
button is menu you work as command repeat, if it is
command repeat you work as context menu.

I
am not a plotter owner. How can I take plot-out.
|
- Load the program to the computer that
the plotter is connected. If you use IDS you can open
your project in idePLOT program and send it to the
plotter.
- Set-up the software of the plotter you want to take
plot-out to your computer. Make the pen settings as
described in the handbook. When you send the project
to the plotter by the “plot” command, the plotter
settings will appear on the screen. Using the “Print to
file” choice here, print the drawing in file. Copy
this file to a diskette and bring it to the computer
which the plotter is connected. Go to the DOS command
system, write “copy filename lpt1” on the command
line and press enter. Your drawing will be plotted.
-
The last alternative is
sending data as DXF or DWG file. In this case you will take
printout by using the properties of the program the
program that you opened the DXF or DWG file. Clue: If you use
the first nine colors in idecad programs
your work will be simplified. In the program you opened
the DXF or DWG file you will be able to make the pen settings
according to these nine colors.
