? I am not a plotter owner. How can I take plot-out.
  1. Load the program to the computer that the plotter is connected. If you use IDS you can open your project in idePLOT program and send it to the plotter.
  2. Set-up the software of the plotter you want to take plot-out to your computer. Make the pen settings as described in the handbook. When you send the project to the plotter by the “plot” command, the plotter settings will appear on the screen. Using the “Print to file” choice here, print the drawing in file. Copy this file to a diskette and bring it to the computer which the plotter is connected. Go to the DOS command system, write “copy filename lpt1” on the command line and press enter. Your drawing will be plotted.
  3. The last alternative is sending data as DXF or DWG file. In this case you will take printout by using the properties of the program the program that you opened the DXF or DWG file. Clue: If you use the first nine colors in idecad programs your work will be simplified. In the program you opened the DXF or DWG file you will be able to make the pen settings according to these nine colors.
